And how I'll ever be able to tell her about days like today. Ah, Ryan. I don't know anything about Ryan. I don't care. The man means nothing to me. It's just a name. But if... You know if going to Rumelle and finding him so that he can go home. If that earns me the right to get back to my wife, then that's my mission.'

Saving Private Ryan has got to be one of my favorite war movies.

Tom Hanks plays an excellent role as captain miller, you feel so sorry for him at the end, because he's only just a man and nothing more. I think if anyone else had played the role you kinda wouldn't have cared as much, but Tom Hanks is such a likeable man.

When he delivers the line above it makes you think of all the men with normal jobs and lives being rounded up and put into war.

I think the opening scene at Omaha beach is one of the most chilling scenes ever.
