'I'm a schoolteacher. I teach English composition... in this little town called Adley, Pennsylvania. The last eleven years, I've been at Thomas Alva Edison High School. I was a coach of the baseball team in the springtime. Back home, I tell people what I do for a living and they think well, now that figures. But over here, it's a big, a big mystery. So, I guess I've changed some. Sometimes I wonder if I've changed so much my wife is even going to recognize me, whenever it is that I get back to her. And how I'll ever be able to tell her about days like today. Ah, Ryan. I don't know anything about Ryan. I don't care. The man means nothing to me. It's just a name. But if... You know if going to Rumelle and finding him so that he can go home. If that earns me the right to get back to my wife, then that's my mission.'

Saving Private Ryan has got to be one of my favorite war movies.

Tom Hanks plays an excellent role as captain miller, you feel so sorry for him at the end, because he's only just a man and nothing more. I think if anyone else had played the role you kinda wouldn't have cared as much, but Tom Hanks is such a likeable man.

When he delivers the line above it makes you think of all the men with normal jobs and lives being rounded up and put into war.

I think the opening scene at Omaha beach is one of the most chilling scenes ever.

World War 2 is one of my many interests. I wanted this picture to look like an old style photo. The original picture of Tom Hanks can be found here, so you can see how much i added [link]

I like you, I love Hanks' performance as Captain Miller in SPR. I do WWII reenacting now becuase of that film. It was truly a moving and touching piece of film, especially when Miller dies on the bridge. My high school' marching band played the score by John Williams in this film for the 64th aniversary of D-Day.
Again, this is wonderful. Keep up the awesome work.
